Sea Coast Management Wins 2004 Governor's Award for Business ExcellenceWATERVILLE, Maine - Sea Coast Management, representing the communities of Highland Green, The Highlands and OceanView at Falmouth, was among six companies to be awarded the 2004 Governor’s Award for Business Excellence recently by Gov. John E. Baldacci during ceremonies at the 53rd Annual Colby Institute for Leadership at Colby College. "Each of these companies are to be congratulated for demonstrating a consistently high level of commitment to their community, to their employees and to manufacturing or service excellence," Gov. Baldacci said. "Maine citizens should be proud of what these companies have accomplished. They are to be congratulated on being a vital component of our state's business community."
The Governor's Award for Business Excellence is distinguished from other business awards because recipients must not only demonstrate success in how they operate their business, but also show a commitment to their employees and communities. With more than 600 residents living in the three properties – The Highlands and Highland Green in Topsham and, OceanView at Falmouth – the communities operated by Sea Coast Management have become an important part of the fabric of the towns and regions in which they are located. From exacting construction standards at the Highland Green resort community to support for philanthropic efforts including facilitating new and unique learning opportunities and mentoring programs, each of the communities represented by Sea Coast Management epitomize excellence and commitment to community. |
